Meet our Team:
Marieke O’Halloran – Director and Practitioner
- Diploma of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture (NL)
- Diploma of Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine (NL)
I am Marieke O’Halloran and I am the director at Natural Solutions Acupuncture. Our bodies have an amazing capacity to heal themselves however often when illness appears we need a helping hand to get back on track. It is an honour to be able to help people recover and live a happy and healthy life again.
I have now worked in the health industry for more than 25 years. I am passionate about helping people with mental health problems such as depression and anxiety and also fertility issues. I love studying and I constantly keep up with the latest information in those key areas so I can support you in the best possible way.
For those of you that are interested in a bit more history, I graduated in 1993 as a Physiotherapist in the Netherlands. After practising as a Physiotherapist I became interested in a more holistic approach to treatment and undertook my TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) study in the Netherlands and graduated as an Acupuncturist in 2000 and a Chinese Herbalist in 2001. During my study, I completed part of my practical training in Beijing (China) and later in Shanghai (China). I lived in Perth (WA) for 15 years where I ran a very successful private practice. In 2017 I relocated to Sydney (NSW) where I opened a clinic in Rouse Hill in the Sydney Hills District. In 2019 we moved to our current clinic in Bella Vista.
I am a full member of ANTA (Australian Natural Therapies Association) and registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
Katy Chan – Practitioner
- Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (UTS)
I am Katy Chan and I am your practitioner at Natural Solutions Acupuncture. I have a strong passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and I love helping people to live life at their fullest.
In my TCM journey, I was very fortunate to follow many great Masters in Australia, Hong Kong, and Canada and witnessed a lot of life changing transformation with the use of Chinese Medicine. We always try to find the little imbalances in any aspect of life including diet, physical and mental health, in order to bring back the balance for the best therapeutic effect.
My teachers not only taught me their medical knowledge, but they also taught me the importance of compassion and being kind to others and to ourselves.
I have a special interest in helping people with pain management, musculoskeletal problems and injuries. I also enjoy working in the areas of women’s health and mental health. To provide the best treatment for patients, I always seek to improve my understanding in these areas and I enjoy studying and keeping up to date with the newest knowledge.
I am a full member of AACMA (Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association) and registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
